Patrol Bureau

The Patrol Bureau is considered the "foundation" of the Pineville Police Department. It is the largest and most visible section within the Department. Composed of dedicated men and women that respond twenty-four hours a day to the needs of our citizens.

The Patrol Bureau is made of uniformed officers that are first responders to 911 calls and complaints from citizens to insure public safety. The Patrol Bureau is tasked with enforcing criminal laws, traffic laws, city ordinances, and maintaining public peace and safety.

The Patrol Bureau is structured into four 12-hour shifts providing citywide coverage 24-hours a day 365 days a year.

The City of Pineville is divided into multiple Patrol Districts, each district is assigned a patrol officer.

The Patrol Bureau contains several specialized units. Some of these special units are DWI Enforcement (Driving While Intoxicated) , Criminal Apprehension Patrol Service (CAPS), Canine Patrol, and Community Police Officer.
