Media Release

The City of Pineville Christmas Parade will be on Friday December 9, 2011 at 7PM. The parade will begin on Military Highway at Claiborne Street and continue south and end at Main Street at Napoleon Boulevard.

The following Streets will be closed for thru traffic at 5PM: Claiborne Street, Hudson Boulevard, Beall Street, Payne Street, and Fairmount Street.

Traffic on Main Street and Military Highway should expect delays from 5PM until the start of the parade. Please use an alternate route if possible to help with traffic congestion.

At 6:30 PM Military Highway and Main Street will be closed to thru traffic. Traffic coming across the Gillis Long Bridge from Alexandria will be routed onto Jones or Harrison Streets. Traffic coming south from Military Highway from Kingsville will be routed onto Lallah Street to LA. 28 east.

Beall, Payne, and Fairmount Streets will become one way only for drops offs at Pineville High School.

We encourage all of the parade goers to please stay on the sidewalks or parking lots along the parade route and to stay behind the barricades that are in place for your safety.
