City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and Council and serves as the official keeper all records, gives notice of public meetings and maintains the official minutes of Council proceedings, ordinances and resolutions. The Clerk also receives and processes all petitions for annexation and zoning changes, attests or certifies documents, maintains the municipality's Code of Ordinances and serves on various public boards and commissions. The City Clerk also oversees the office of Taxes and Permitting, which is where property taxes are collected and various permits are issued.
