Payroll
The City of Pineville Payroll Department is responsible for the compensation of over 300 employees biweekly. Included in the responsibility is ensuring employee time and attendance are accurately recorded and that employees are paid the wages to which they are entitled. The department ensures tax remittances are properly paid to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and garnishments are properly deducted from employee wages and remitted to the appropriate parties/agencies. |
Payroll submits reports accurately in a timely manner to the IRS, Social Security Administration (SSA), Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI), Louisiana Workforce Commision (LAWorks) and the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The department ensures accrued leave payouts due to terminations, resignations, retirements and employee deaths are promptly and accurately processed. Additionally, it is our responsibility to ensure accurate W-2 statements are distributed as promptly as possible before the January 31 deadline.
