The City of Pineville, Louisiana

The Pineville Mayor’s Office, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) District 08, and the Rapides Area Planning Commission (RAPC) will hold two public meetings regarding the needed pedestrian improvements along LA 28 East in Pineville.

We want to hear from you! There are three opportunities to provide input on pedestrian improvements along highway LA 28 East in Pineville. Any member of the public who lives or commutes along LA 28 East in Pineville is encouraged to participate in one of these meetings or complete the survey.

Meeting 1:

The meeting will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the meeting room at Twenty Eight East apartments located at 2731 Highway 28 E, Pineville, LA 71360 Friday, September 27, 2024.

Meeting 2:

The meeting will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Kees Park Community Center located at 2450 Highway 28 East, Pineville, LA 71360 Monday, September 30, 2024.

What is the purpose of this meeting 

Members of the public and transportation data have conveyed the need for pedestrian safety improvements along this road segment to local and state officials. The Alexandria-Pineville MPO is working with the Pineville Mayor's Office and DOTD District 08 to identify pedestrian improvements along this road corridor for programming, funding, and construction.

What happens next?

Public input provided on the survey and these public meetings will help identify public pedestrian concerns, types of pedestrian improvements preferred, and where these improvements are needed along LA 28 East in Pineville. The next step in the process will be based on public input received from the survey and the public engagement meetings.
