Public Records Request

Public records are defined by the Louisiana Public Records Law as "[a]ll books, records, writings, accounts, letters, and letter books, maps, drawings, photographs, cards, tapes, recordings, memoranda, and papers, and all copies , duplicates, photographs, including microfilm, or other reproductions thereof, or any other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, including information contained in electronic data processing equipment, having been used, being in use, or prepared, possessed, or retained for use in the conduct, transaction, or performance of any business, transaction, work, duty, or function which was conducted, transacted, or performed by or under the authority of the constitution or laws of this state, or by or under the authority of any ordinance, regulation, mandate, or order of any public body or concerning the receipt or payment of any money received or paid by or under the authority of the constitution or the laws of this state."

Pursuant to Louisiana Revised Statute 44:32, the City of Pineville is granted the authority to charge fees for the production of all types of City records.  Therefore, copies of public records furnished to a person so requesting, shall be provided at fees according to the schedule below.  The requesting party will be provided with a cost estimate.  However, that may change based on the actual cost for reproduction.

Prepayment of reproduction fees is required before receiving requested records.  All two-sided copies are charged as two pages.  The fee schedule applies regardless of how the records are produced, whether hard copy, electronic, digital, or otherwise.

Certified and/or True Copies $20.00 per certification
Videos $30.00 each
Photos $1.00 per photo in hard copy
$0.50 per copy digital
Phone Call/Radio Recordings $10.00 per recording
Fire Dept Hydrant Flow Report $10.00 per report
Fire Dept Environmental Service Report $10.00 per report
Code Violation Report $10.00 per report
Photocopies (8-1/2" x 11" paper or smaller)

$1.00 per page for 1-25 pages
$0.50 per page for all pages over 25

Photocopies (paper greater than 8-1/2" x 11") Actual Cost of Reproduction (if greater than above)
Computer Generated Printout $0.50 per page
Flash Drive, CD-ROM, or DVD $10.00 (per storage device) plus cost of information on storage device
Postage Actual Cost per Package
